Invisible Backgrounds:
to create an invisible background on an image that you want to use in Flash, you need to open the image in photoshop. Make sure the resolution is set at 300 pixels/inch, and set the background contents to "transparent", which are both settings you can change when you create a new photoshop file. Paste or import the image into photoshop. Then, use the magic wand tool or lasso tool to delete any unwanted background. Then, click "save as", and select the ".GIF" format option, and click "save". Lastly, import the GIF version of the image into flash.

How To Create A Transparent Background

ANOTHER WAY to create invisible backgrounds is to:
-import image onto stage
-select it with the Selection Tool
-on the toolbar click Modify -> Bitmap -> Trace Bitmap
-select image with Selection Tool and you should be able to select the white parts (or unnecessary background) and Delete
-* VERY IMPORTANT** - sometimes when you use this method it breaks apart all of the components of the image
- to regroup the components into ONE image, select components using Shift and the Group (Ctrl + G)
